Hello Everyone, I am a single mother of a 9 year old little boy. I am 26 years old.I got laid off in Sept.2008 and was ill and had tyo get surgery in Oct 2008. I had an open wound and recovered until MArch 2009. Since then I lost my apartment had to put everything in storage and give things away since I couldnt afford a bigger storage space. I have since then moved back with my parents. I have been real sad that I havent been able to find a job or care for my son due to financial burden. I been seeking for grants or help for a single mother like myself. I havent been able to find those individual grants. I am here luckily I found this site and hope I find assistance. I am so depressed not being able to find a job or move out of this really bad projects in Staten Island.

my son will soon go to 5th grade then JHS and I want to be able to move out of here to a better neighborhood before he goes to Junior High School . I wish I can be able to continue college have a degree but due to not having a job I haven't been able to.
